production transcripts

iProbe delivers on-time, on-target video transcription services for TV and cable networks, production companies, post-production houses, film-editing boutiques, in-house post-production departments and advertising agencies.

our production transcripts are ideal for films and TV shows, documentaries, interviews, reality TV, and any scripted and unscripted project where there is a need to transcribe raw footage dialog for editing.

our accurate and detailed transcripts are formatted according to your workflow needs and make it easy to create a paper cut or import into a script-based editing tool such as AVID ScriptSync to "sync" the relevant source clips with the script itself. Our transcripts are also used by editors who are using such as AVID Media Composer ScriptSync. Some of the programs we transcribe include:

  • Commercials and Infomercials
  • Corporate Videos
  • Documentaries
  • Educational/E-Learning Videos
  • Employee Training Videos
  • Feature Films
  • Motivational Videos
  • Recorded Webinars
  • TV Programming (scripted and unscripted)
  • Promos
  • Sports Videos
  • YouTube videos

timecoded transcripts

there's a few ways we can add timecode or timestamps to your transcripts. We can simply start each file at 00:00:00 or 00:00:00:00 or another start time you indicate or use the timecode already embedded in your files:

  • the TCR window burn of the video
  • from a QuickTime video file with time code metadata track seen in QuickTime Pro.
  • from a Broadcast WAV format audio file with timecode embedded in the metadata of the file

if you plan use the transcript primarily to edit videos, we generally recommend you provide the video with a timecode window burn (BITC). In the alternative, if you can only supply audio files, it can be helpful to you if the audio timecode syncs with the video timecodes. This can be accomplished by recording a wav file that contains a readable SMPTE timecode track. You provide the readable timecded wav file along the corresponding video fps (frame per second). Video with BITC is still better because it enables us to see timecode jumps. With audio files we cannot tell when there are timecode jumps whereas with video we can visually view the jumps.
